Portage and Main Outdoor Furnaces

We have all seen the increase in traditional/conventional fuels such as oil and propane; this upward trend is not going to change. We will continue to see the costs of our heating increase beyond measure. As such more and more people are looking for an alternative method of heating their homes and businesses. They want to take control of their bills and learn about all the options available to them to help them with this, and take the environmentally friendly choice.

To this end, I would like to introduce to you the Portage & Main range of Outdoor Water Furnaces (sometimes referred to as Outdoor Boilers, or Yard Furnaces). Since 1973 the skilled tradesmen of Piney Manufacturing’s, have picked only the highest quality materials to design and manufacture our product line; a product line that has had and continues to have a long history of reliability and efficiency.

Our Product Line consist of: (all furnaces can be tied into almost any existing system)
a.       Portage & Main Conventional Wood Burning Models – These cleverly designed stoves have a second to none heat exchanger, water cooled grates and an ash pan for easy cleaning as well as reducing heat being insulated by ashes. Indoor and Outdoor Models are available.
b.      Portage and Main Wood Gassification Models – One of the more recent additions to the P&M Product line. These models are the most efficient Wood Burning Models.  As the process that the product is named after (Gassification) suggests, it burns off all of the smoke. Also keep in mind that the Optimizer 250 (outdoor Gassifier) and the IDM 100 is EPA Phase 2 qualified.
c.       Portage and Main Shaker Grate Models – These equally reliable and efficient Furnaces burn a combination of wood and/or Coal
d.      Portage and Main Coal/Bio mass Automatic Stoker Models – If you have a ready supply of coal, sunflower shells, cherry pits (almost anything that can be augured from a storage bin) then you may want to consider the P&M Stoker System. Store your biomass fuel in a hopper bin and have it fed automatically through the stoker system into the Furnace. It stokes itself for days on end.
e.      Portage and Main Chip Burning System – If you have a large heat load, then ask about our fully automated burning system for burning wood chips/corn cobs/cut straw etc.
